Hot News : The lightbox project Show 4 - Brand this !

Now in it's fourth year the artist Kate Allen delivers the most controversial show to date by destroying the myths surrounding urban teenagers lifestyles. Kate ran six workshops over the summer 2006 exploring the influence of advertising on the lives of a group of teenagers from Charterhouse-in-Southwark. The young people looked at glossy magazines and billboard adverts and responded to these images by creating hundreds of drawings, monoprint's, photos and collages that expressed their lives and aspirations. The five artworks displayed within the light boxes are a montage of their work, composed by the artist.
